
Rotation Student: Pamela Psarianos
Pamela is a first year Masters student in the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto. She graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, majoring in Biochemistry and Physiology. In May of 2013, Pamela began research under the supervision of Dr. Rebecca Laposa in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, working on a project that targeted the mitochondrial RNA polymerase in acute myeloid leukemia. Since May of 2014, Pamela has been working in the laboratory of Dr. Fei-Fei Liu at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. In this lab, she has completed two years of the Medical Biophysics Summer Student Program as well as an undergraduate thesis project focusing on the reversal of radiation fibrosis using adipose-derived stem cells. This project has a pharmacogenomic component that involves a collaboration between the Haibe-Kains and Liu labs.
