PhD Student: Rene Quevedo
Rene has completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Science at McMaster University with a focus on Biology, Psychology and Biochemistry. Following this, he continued to complete a Graduate Certificate program in Bioinformatics at Seneca College. Recent work has been focused on whole-exome and whole-genome sequence analysis for patient-derived cancer samples to create landscapes of the disease, as well as functional interpretation of the data. His current projects will involve working with Zhaleh Safikhani in the lab to analyze the subclonality of cancer cell lines as well as investigation into tumor-derived unannotated transcripts and their relation to drug sensitivity data.
