Postdoctoral Research Fellow: Wail Ba-alawi
Google ScholarDr. Wail Ba alawi holds a PhD in computer science from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia. His major research focus was on drug repurposing in heterogeneous drug-target networks. In his thesis work he devised a novel method based on graph inference techniques to predict novel and reliable drug-target interactions. Before pursuing his PhD studies, he received a master’s degree in computer science with an emphasis on data mining and machine learning. Currently, he is focusing on drug repurposing in cancer and investigating the effect of drug combinations in specific cancer types.
