Alain Bateman earned an undergraduate in bio-informatics at the Université de Montréal. He is currently leveraging statistical learning frameworks to probe the intersection of cellular differentiation and cancer. Prior to this he developed Network Security Operation Centers in Canadian financial institutions and managed infrastructure deployment in 50,000+ user environments. His alternate spheres of interest include probabilistic modeling, cognition, philosophy, English literature and classical music.
