Farnoosh Babazadeh

Postdoctoral Fellow: Farnoosh Babazadeh

Farnoosh completed her PhD in Mathematics (Biostatistics emphasis) from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa, Canada. Her major research focus was on improving statistical methods in multiple hypothesis testing problem using the local false discovery rate with application in high-throughput biological data, diffusion tensor imaging and genome-wide association studies. Farnoosh holds MSc and BSc in Mathematical Statistics and Statistics, respectively, from Shiraz University, Iran. After her PhD, Farnoosh joined the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida as a post-doctoral research fellow. During that time, she gained extensive experience in statistical genomics, pharmacogenomics and collaborative research involving multi-omics data. Currently, Farnoosh is developing statistical methods for high-dimensional omic studies involving pharmacogenomics and cancer.
