Research Analyst: Katy Scott

Katy received her Bachelor's of Computing with a specialization in Biomedical Computing from Queen's University, where she was first introduced to the variety of computing applications in medical research. She went on to complete her Master's of Science with a Field of Study in Artificial Intelligence at Queen's, supervised by Dr. Amber Simpson and Dr. Randy Ellis. Katy's thesis studied survival time prediction with radiographic images for primary and metastatic liver cancers using statistical, machine learning, and deep learning models. Her research interests include applying machine learning techniques for medical image analysis to improve diagnostic and prognostic prediction. In the lab, she is working on developing a platform to utilize radiogenomic features for the prediction of treatment response.
