Collaborative Scientific Associate: Mattea Welch

Dr. Mattea Welch completed her doctoral degree in Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto. During her graduate studies she researched quantitative medical image processing for quality assurance, and predictive and prognostic modelling in cancer. Mattea also holds a master’s degree in Medical Biophysics and a bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University where she trained as a biomedical computing student. At this early stage in Mattea’s career, she aims to use her passion for computing and logic to solve real-life problems in multidisciplinary environments involving computer scientists and clinicians.
