Megan received her PhD in Biology from Dalhousie University and her MSc in Zoology from the University of British Columbia. She has extensive experience in population genetic and phylogenetic analysis in ecology and evolutionary biology. As a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto, she developed an interest in modeling species distributions using machine learning methods. She went on to explore machine learning and data analytics in a certificate program at Ryerson University. She is currently combining her interests in molecular biology and machine learning to conduct a study on cytokine and symptom clusters in ovarian cancer patients with Benjamin Haibe-Kains and Madeline Li at UHN. Position: Research Analyst.
