Postdoctoral Research Fellow: Elham Salehi

Elham Salehi received her PhD in Computer Science from University of Windsor, Canada, her M.Sc in computer science from University of Tehran, Iran and her BSc. in computer engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. During her PhD, she developed an efficient Bayesian Network-based combinatorial optimization algorithm for high dimensional problems and applied it for predicting glycation sites in mammalian proteins. She also developed several multiple dependency detection algorithms and studied the effects of the characteristics of problems on the efficiency of those algorithms. She has worked at the National Research Council of Canada before joining the BHK lab where she will work on developing novel bioinformatic approaches for high-throughput discovery of drug combinations in cancer.
