Undergraduate Student: Shahzada Farooq

Shahzada Shameel is a 3rd year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto pursuing a specialist in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology with a minor in Immunology. He came to love coding after taking an intro to programming class in his first year at university as an elective. Passionate about the life sciences since a young age, he decided to merge his two academic interests and enrolled in the Bioinformatics program. He is currently working on the AnnotationGx package at the BHK lab. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with his friends, watching films and trying out new restaurants. His favourite film is the Godfather part 1.
