Rotation Student: Yuan (William) Gao

Yuan (William) Gao received his Master of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Toronto in the field of pharmacogenomics and smoking addiction. William completed many bioinformatics projects to understand addiction and improve smoking cessation using transcriptional and genetic sequencing datasets. During his Masters, he grew fascinated with the field of machine learning and its applications to personalized medicine. He is now pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the Department of Medical Biophysics, interested in machine learning and its applications in high throughput pharmacogenomic datasets.
